Working within the Veterinary Act 1966

Prior to your horses massage session it is a legal requirement to obtain permisson from your registered Veterinarian. You will be required to sign your horses session record sheet to confirm veterinary approval.

This legislation is in place to safeguard the welfare of horses and ponies and ensure that I am working within the peramiters of the law alongside other professionals such as dentists, farriers and other alternative therapists.

Occasionally a referral back to your Veterinary surgery may be necessary, or additionally to a registered farrier, dentist or master saddler. It could also be recommended the rider seeks a proffesional assessment.
