Why Musculoskeletal Therapy

Musculosketal Therapy covers not only soft tissue problems within muscles and fascia but can also address structural imbalance that can affect posture and movement.

Musculoskeletal sessions can be used-
•Within a competition plan before and after events to increase performance, reduce the risk of injury and improve recovery time. It can also aid the horses ability to reduce lactic acid build up within muscles.
•For rehabilitation after injury
•To correct muscle atrophy due to poor saddle fit
•Regulary to maintain muscle function and postural balance which greatly reduces the risk of injury

Some of the indicators your horse may need a session -
•Poor performance
•Unwanted behaviours - difficult to handle / ride
•Incorrect canter strike off
•Difficulty bridling / pulling back when tied up
•Napping / rearing / bucking
•Inconsistencies in ridden work
•Difficult to rug / saddle / load / travel
•Tripping / stumbling

This is not a comprehensive list - listen to your horse, the signs may be very subtle.

Please feel free to contact Georgie to discuss any issues prior to booking your session.
