Musculoskeletal Session- What can you expect

After an initial consultation with you, to determine your horses problems, a static and dynamic assessment will be undertaken. Following an overall palpation to indicate areas of muscle soreness, you will be advised of the session plan. Each session is tailor made to the needs of your horse or pony.

Nutrition, saddle fit and environmental factors, will be considered in the session plan. You might even be given homework !

An initial session can take up to 2 hrs with follow up sessions taking between 1 and 1.5 hrs.

Normally after a session I advise that your horse has one - two days off so please bear this in mind when booking.

Some of the techniques used can include -
•Massage
•Myofascial release
•Mobilisation
•Spinal freedom techniques
•Infra red light therapy
•Active and passive stretching
